Two kites and a rack under the carbet
The lagoon has become the best place on the island to learn kitesurfing: flat, shallow, and the trade wind arrives every afternoon. We built…

A contemporary Creole house open to the Atlantic, a four-minute walk from Autre Bord beach.
The villa takes its name from its neighbourhood. Damencourt is the eastern point of Le Moule: cane fields on one side, the coral reef on the other, and between them a garden of flame trees and coconut palms that the wind crosses all year.
Built in 2019 on former farmland, the house is made for living outdoors: a hundred square metres of veranda, a summer kitchen under a carbet, an infinity pool and six air-conditioned bedrooms you only go into to sleep.
Six bedrooms, twelve guests, one booking at a time. Cleaning, linen and the first morning’s breakfast are included; the rest is arranged with you the day before.

The veranda catches the trade wind from morning to night. Everything happens there: breakfasts, naps, the games of dominoes that end late.
“Twelve days, and we used the car three times.”
The Lemoine family · March stay
“With the shutters open you hear the reef breaking all night. That is exactly what we came for.”
“The chef came two evenings to make a court-bouillon. The rest of the time we cooked the market fish ourselves.”
“Twelve people and no friction: the veranda is big enough to lose sight of each other.”
